12.06.23 - This coming week in Early Years

Hello everyone!

We have had a lovely sunny week and with the weather set to continue please could the children come to school with a clearly named sun hat and suncream. (Sunglasses are also allowed if you wish). We do spend a large part of the day in our garden so please ensure your child has suncream on when they come to school. The children are encouraged to apply it themselves (with a little bit of help) before lunch.

As we are now in the last half term we thought we would start the blogs each week with some important upcoming diary dates.

Friday 16th June            PTA Father's Day Sale (in school time)
Saturday 24th June        PTA Fete
Thursday 29th June        Whole Class photos
Tuesday 4th July            Open School - 4.30pm until 6.30pm
Friday 7th July                Sports Day (Early Years is in the afternoon)

PTA Father's Day Sale
On Friday 16th June the PTA will be running a Father's Day sale in school. During the day your child will have the chance to attend the sale if you wish them to. The items are priced between £1-£3.50. We ask that the children bring money in a named purse, wallet or envelope, along with a carrier bag with their name on to hold the purchased items.

Now on to the learning for this coming week, we will be:

  • Writing about Jack Jack, using some of our ideas from the word bank we created last week.
  • Discussing 5 new Vocabulary Ninja words.
  • Continuing with our work around adjacent consonants in our Phonics sessions, this week we will be writing words containing gr or mp.
  • Working on Doubling in our Mathematic sessions.
  • Sharing and discussing the story "Ruby's Worry" in our Circle Time session.
  • Making some special cards to take home on Friday.

Have a lovely weekend!
